My Own Card

Seeing as people create their own cards I think I'll create my own .

Fear my Dark Synchro Wrath!

Who am I?

I noticed in a few places that there is speculation to my identity. Well what you can ask yourself is, does it matter who I am? What exactly is it that I do? Well I basically speak my mind on matters I think appropriate to bring up. I thank all my readers and encourage you all to spread the word of my blog around the YuGiOh Online World! Just remember I'm watching...

Just a Little Thing I've Noticed

Well, I did notice of late that DuelCity was becoming a tad pompous, but this readers, absolutely takes the biscuit! In their very own card database I found this ego stroking piece of garbage.

I don't know about you, but once this sort of thing starts going in card databases, I find the usefulness of it seems to dwindle, so I personally will not be using the Duelcity.com card database anymore. I will however be using the Duel Academy database, which frankly is faster and more in depth. I don't mind a degree of creativity, but there is a time and a place for everything, and for an information site, I really don't think that was appropiate. Just needed to get that off my question marked chest to you all.

Is your Community Dying?

I've noticed alot of late that many f the original online communities have been slowly dying off, and even in certain cases, example of DuelPortal going completely bust. Sites such as Gamemasterz and Gamerspride don't seem to have the activity level that they once had, are people moving on or simply getting lazy? Who knows, all I noticed is that not as many tournaments going on. Funnily enough any site where Doomlord7 is a member of staff seems to have some form of tournament, those being V3rticles, Vastacon and Gamemasterz. But yes, new communities will spring up over time aswell, so which of those to join? Who knows , just goes to whom has the best ideas.

Concept of the Team

I'm sure that 90%+ of the ingame people are in a team of some sort or another. Since Teams were released almost a Year ago many big teams have risen and fallen in short times. I believe one of the early big teams was that of NightmareDuelist, many successful members within it. Such notable names such as Marshmell0w and Darkreaper07. That team seemed to whimper away over the range of 3 months, it is now a minor team in the game. Another Team that shot up early in the game was that of UnitedWeStand. Notable members within it include hagarthehorrible who was a top TP ranker for multiple seasons. They still remain in the game to my knowledge. Another Team that rose during this time was EndPhase, a quite successful Team, ran by Eerie/Bigtime for many months. Up until September it was the Top Team in the game. Internal problems caused its eventual slow disintegration. DarkTactics was also a team that was well noticed ingame for quite a while, but as with such things it was soon overlooked by larger teams. Another success story was the VastaconINT Team, created as a 3rd place team in DuelCity to both DuelCityTeam and DuelCityElite, it has grown over time into the Largest Team in the English Speaking realm of the game. It is currently still solid, notable members of the team are Ardaam, Bulldogbreed, Doomlord7 and of course a number of top TP Ranker's such as Muraz, thehulkster and Tanja1985. DuelCityTeam, created by Zetsudai during the first week of the Team system being introduced, in an effort to create an official team for the website, it barely lasted a month. DuelCityElite, created by a former moderator of Duelcity known as Soulless01475, known for underhanded tactics the team over time has never lived up to expectations, and uses favoritisim and the lure of the moderators as leaders of it to gain members. Current leader is TexcyBurkehart. Noticably began the age of elitisim, such as the Teams AmericasElite and WorldElite. AmericasElites notable members are such players such as Tsukuyomi777, Smiley102/Darknessking7 and EricGT a YOC qualifier. Another large Team that is noticable was that of GermanUnited however personally I don't know much about them. A newer team I have noticed of late was that of Ukunited under xtac and Darkrepear07 as it seems, best of luck to them.
On that note, this has only been the the first year of Teams ingame who knows what the future will bring. The List below shows all the Teams worth mentioning.

YuGiOh! Online Social Commentary 1 : Racisim In Game

Personally, I dislike the concept a lot, and it seems to feature heavily in the game, especially with Konami events, such as GS and YOC. The Top Nations at this game are certainly the Japanese and German people, due to their superior time playing the game. Following them in 3rd 4th and 5th would be the United Kingdom, United States and South Korea. But I find, a term such as ' Bloody Japs'' being used far too often. Why? Generally because they are duelistss with a serious surpassing skill level to those who complain, and those who lose, and are sore losers, are going to place the blame on an outside body, unfortunately it happens to be the Japanese most of the time.
One of the more (in)famous people ingame to have a hate for the German Nation seems to be Tsukuyomi777(also: TsukuyomiIsBrokes). Also known for his riddiculas ranting over Doomlord7 and GMDestruction and of course Bet dueling, not the nicest of guys. But anyway he as an example believes himself over superior, even though there are certainly many more German Duelists with a higher degree of skill than him, but refuses to accept that fact. Pity really, such a game was created as a socializing event, for people from around the world to play eachother from the comfort of their own homes, it is quite sad that humanity can still go down to the lowest level of hate of another human due to nationality. But yes, my social commentaries can go on all day, but I hope you all can see, there is no point in racisim ingame, its a petty excuse to start such a thing, and angers me terribly. Well on that Note I'll end this Article.

Lists are not all that

Sure they are fine and easy, but what actually happened to taking your time and carefully typing a nice article for others to read and find much more information than simply names, I personally intend to revie the culture of articles about the online community, and anyone that is willing to help please do send an email to :

Website Review

Within the Online, many communities have grown and flourished, yet have also failed due to lack of funding or resources. So this is basically a breakdown of the best websites in the community.

Duel Academy
One of the finest websites going, always friendly and helpful on any visit. The finest card database currently in existence, hard working moderation and administration. Nice colour scheme even. I would rate it as the number one site currently in the Online community.

Admin: Lemlock, blue

Ranking: 1st

Gamerspride
Run fairly and justly, good tournament provider, Prize support is impeccable. Only con's I can find is basic layout of the site and design, but then again I can be quite picky about such things. Still top site, and an alright community.

Admin: Amphibianbeast

Ranking: 2nd

V3rticles DeckZone
V3rt, is probably one of the nicest guys in YuGiOh Online to put it simply. His scammer lists are generally accurate, as are the trusted lists. His MP list could use some regular updating however.
Still very nice site, with an overall largely friendly community, with a few exceptions, but to be fair, its the real world here.

Admin: V3rt

Ranking : 3rd

Gamemasterz
Once one of the top communities, of late it has slipped due to superficial infighting. Still it has alot of loyal and regular members. Its old clan war system isn't what it used to be. Still an active site with some of the top community members visiting.

Admin: egyptianspiritqu, Doomlord7

Ranking : 4th

Vastacon.com
A testament to the work that can be acieved by the team system ingame. Vastacon.com was born out of nessecity for one of the ingame teams. It is new and upcoming, but has cool ideas and is willing to help out new members of its community. Nice look of the site, and the shoutbox usuaully has a few people knocking around. As a side note, alot of fun tournaments there also.

Admin : Ardaam, cyberninja2601

Ranking : 5th

Duelcity.com
Once probably the 2nd best site in the game, even with its card database, this site has fallen far. Hostility to members, poor moderation has basically eaten the site alive. Recently a mass banning of members has left the site quite inactive in comparason to what it once was. Tournaments have poor prize support in conjunction with the other sites.

Admin: SilentSleeper

Ranking : 6th

Also, a much missed site we have to mention is DuelPortal, may it rest in peace and never be forgotten.

On That note I shall leave you be to decide on your own.

Joining the Party

I have noticed of late that many blogs have popped up within the Yu-Gi-Oh Online community, speaking of truths and the like, well alot of these have been used for personal gain, mine however will try its best to stay neutral and keep the content clean.
But I will be weeding out those within the community who mean harm or do wrong to the community I will uncover you and make it known exactly what you are like.
So this is a hello to the community, keep watching this space.
